Private

Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI)

A&M's PEPI practice focuses on serving upper middle market and large‑cap private equity firms. Within the Education coverage team, typical mandates include synergy assessment or integration planning for organizations in the K‑12, for‑profit and non‑for‑profit sectors of higher education, skilled trade schools, and other training and development businesses.

Merger Integration & Carve‑outs (MI&C)

This team offers a structured, disciplined approach to create and capture value through due diligence, integration management, synergy, TSA, integration planning, Day 1 readiness, and post‑close execution.

Manager Role
  • Provide service excellence by identifying key client business issues, supplementing standard assessment techniques, evaluating analysis, and developing recommendations.
  • Lead work streams or focus areas within the Integration Management Office, such as Synergies, TSAs, Blueprinting, Day 1 readiness, Executive reporting, Integration roadmap, Communications, and Organizational design.
  • Drive Day 1 and Day 100 planning, execution, and performance improvement in areas such as strategic planning, operational optimization, back office consolidation, supply chain, IT/reporting integration, customer and channel management.
  • Track progress against objectives and adjust integration strategies or people as required.
Qualifications
  • 5–8+ years professional experience (corporate and/or consulting) with merger integration, business transformation, or change management.
  • Operating experience or exposure to the for‑profit education sector.
  • Understanding of key value drivers for investing in for‑profit education.
  • Knowledge of major trade‑offs, trends, and issues in for‑profit education.
  • Experience in integration planning and divestitures (plus).
  • Experience leading one or more work streams in a business transformation.
  • Deep functional expertise in Finance & Accounting operations, HR/Organizational design, Communications planning and management, Supply chain/Operations, Salesforce effectiveness, Marketing optimisation, Pricing/margin optimisation, Knowledge management, and Program management.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, initiative, critical thinking.
  • Flexibility to travel up to 80% of time.
  • Desire to be part of a fast‑paced, high‑performing professional environment with an entrepreneurial spirit.

Benefits Summary

Full‑time positions (30+ hours) qualify for healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, disability coverage, 401(k) retirement plan with discretionary contribution, paid time off including vacation, personal days, 72 hours of sick time, 10 federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. Salary range: $125,000–$190,000 annually plus discretionary bonus.
