Retail & Store Manager, Operations Manager
Big City Optical is a leading firm in the optical industry, recognized for innovative products and commitment to excellence. We are currently seeking a District Manager to join our leadership team and support the company’s mission of providing preeminent eye care in our communities.
District Manager Duties And Responsibilities- Oversee and manage multiple locations according to company guidelines and policies fostering a culture of accountability.
- Hire and develop qualified and talented staff at each location.
- Leverage existing training techniques and materials and motivate team members to exceed performance expectations.
- Mentor General Managers and make changes or recommendations to staff on how to improve performance of staff and overall operations of the store.
- Visit each store within assigned District regularly to review results, perform productivity audits and keep the company’s goals and targets consistently communicated and reported on.
- Maintain a consistent market presence within established territory to manage staff expectations around critical targets for sales as well as coverage to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Ensure staff are kept current and informed on business updates, news and communications from leadership on a consistent basis.
- Ensure all locations comply with company policies, escalating and owning any issues through resolution.
- Address customer service issues and problems in District performance from identification through resolution.
- Prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial and service reports and updates for management; make recommendations and decisions based on financial analysis.
- Meet performance objectives and initiatives from upper management.
- High school diploma or GED certificate (bachelor’s degree preferred).
- At least 2 years of multi‑unit operations experience.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, organizational management, communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite software and ability to learn and use new technologies for day‑to‑day patient and business transactions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Optical management experience.
- ABO certification preferred.

Pay: $85, per year
