A confidential, multi‑entity organization is seeking a Senior Manager of SEC Reporting & Corporate Accounting to lead all aspects of external reporting, technical accounting, and corporate accounting operations. This is a highly visible leadership role overseeing a team of 3–4 professionals
, guiding the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting while partnering with senior executives on critical accounting and disclosure matters.
This position plays a central role in shaping reporting infrastructure, enhancing processes, and driving high‑quality financial information across the organization.
Key Responsibilities External & Internal Reporting Leadership- Own preparation and filing of SEC reports including Forms 10‑K, 10‑Q, 8‑K, ensuring accuracy and full compliance
- Lead review of quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures
- Oversee consolidated reporting for a global, multi‑entity structure
, ensuring accuracy and alignment - Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, including documentation, testing, and remediation
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, legal, and external auditors to ensure timely, audit‑ready submissions
- Present key disclosures and insights to senior leadership, including top finance executives
- Lead technical accounting for complex areas including:
- Acquisitions
- Divestitures
- Discontinued operations
- Revenue recognition
- Lease accounting
- Review and prepare accounting memos, pro formas, and technical analyses
- Monitor new accounting standards and assess organizational impacts
- Oversee accounting for pension plans, stock‑based compensation, hedging, and segments
- Lead goodwill and intangible asset impairment reviews
- Direct restructuring accounting and related disclosures
- Guide updates to reporting structures and internal accounting policies
- Lead initiatives to streamline close processes and improve reporting cycle timelines
- Partner cross‑functionally to enhance consolidation/reporting systems and integrate newly acquired entities
- Support optimization of financial systems (experience with platforms like One Stream, HFM, Syteline beneficial)
- CPA required
- 8+ years progressive experience across financial reporting, technical accounting, and corporate accounting
- Prior experience in large public company environments
- Experience leading teams (3+ years people leadership
) - Strong U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and technical accounting expertise
- Background in public accounting (Big 4 or Mid‑tier) strongly preferred
- Experience with global, multi‑entity reporting
- Familiarity with modern consolidation/reporting tools (One Stream, HFM, SAP BPC, etc.)
$160,000–$180,000 annually
