Job Overview
Finance & Business Transformation Senior Manager – Strategic CFO Advisory practice. Lead strategic advisory projects, drive client value, manage multiple engagements, and support business development.
Responsibilities- Provide end‑to‑end leadership through all stages of a program or project (strategic planning, work planning, mobilization, execution, and closeout).
- Direct and oversee integrated consulting engagements and opportunity pursuits.
- Review and leverage assets for process mapping, visualization, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and clients to translate business requirements into solutions.
- Facilitate work products, lead walkthroughs, and document current and future state of business functions.
- Execute change management efforts related to finance business optimization, visioning, and strategies.
- Design and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Identify key stakeholders and recommend methods to improve service, work processes, and financial performance.
- Assist in quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with external agencies as required.
- Maintain proactive communication with clients on progress, scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables.
- Report engagement status—including risks, issues, and opportunities—to advisory leadership.
- Occasionally work extended hours, travel to client locations, and work from different office sites.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 8+ years of consulting or client service experience, preferably within a professional services firm.
- 3+ years in management or supervisory roles, leading complex projects or programs.
- Experience in strategic initiatives, business operations, IT, or Federal/State programs.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience building and managing effective teams on projects of varying scales.
- Comfort operating in a dynamic, fast‑paced, innovative environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Experience with AI platforms and tools such as Claude, Copilot, and ChatGPT.

Location:
Chicago, IL. Salary range: $165,000 – $180,000 (Illinois); may vary by geography.
