Collections Manager

Our multi unit, large client in the Retail Consumer Services sector is seeking a Collections Manager with Some Credit experience as well.

This role is in the Morton Grove area.

• Lead a team (10-12 people) of supervisors & collectors, setting goals, and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the collections department.
• Help develop, improve, and implement credit policies and collection strategies.
• Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential & existing customers through credit checks and financial statement analysis.
• Set credit limits and terms for customers and monitor the credit risk portfolio to minimize potential losses.
• Oversee the daily management of outstanding A/R to ensure timely payment.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve billing issues and manage escalated collection disputes.
• Prepare and analyze reports including key metrics and trends, to provide insights to senior management.

• Some travel in the beginning to TX then once a Quarter.
• 5+ years of experience in credit and collections experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory/management experience of at least 10+ direct reports.
• Experience with ERP (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards, etc) systems and intermediate in Excel.
• Exceptional Leader with great organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
