Job Opportunity:
Senior Collections Manager – mostly remote, one day in the office when needed. Must have law firm collections and accounting.
Consilio's ELS Direct Hire Staffing Division is excited to assist:
Our law firm client is seeking a Senior Collections Manager to join our Accounting team. This leadership role is pivotal in driving the firm’s revenue cycle forward by managing a team of collections professionals, ensuring compliance with internal policies, and collaborating closely with the Director of Revenue to meet departmental goals.
- Direct and support collections team members in client outreach and follow-up actions
- Monitor new business activity on accounts with outstanding balances and coordinate resolution strategies
- Refer cases to the Bankruptcy partner-in-charge when necessary
- Analyze A/R trends and report findings to leadership
- Identify receivables for write-off or suspense transfer and initiate appropriate actions
- Track and manage payment plans, promissory notes, and retainers
- Prepare monthly and year-end collection projections
- Apply Unallocated and Trust funds to A/R in collaboration with partners and collectors
- Maintain and update collections policies and control procedures
- Lead year-end close processes and support software initiatives
- Supervise and mentor direct reports, manage staffing coverage, and oversee timekeeping
- Participate in hiring, performance reviews, and other HR lifecycle events
- Support ongoing professional development for team members
- Seven plus years of relevant financial experience, including 2+ years in a management role
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with metrics/reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, iManage, and firm-specific applications
- Experience with Elite 3E or Elite Enterprise
- Ability to work extended hours and travel as needed
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to mentor others
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior law firm experience
