The Director/Senior Director of Continuous Improvement is a senior leadership role responsible for advancing organizational performance, instructional quality, accountability, and strategic execution across the organization. This individual will lead efforts to develop and implement performance management systems, school improvement initiatives, data strategy, compliance monitoring, and continuous improvement processes that strengthen student achievement and operational effectiveness.
Serving as a central connector across departments, the Director/Senior Director will partner with academic, operational, human resources, student services, and external affairs teams to ensure organizational priorities are aligned, measurable, and effectively executed.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Performance & Organizational Effectiveness- Develop and oversee organization-wide performance management systems aligned with strategic goals and accountability requirements.
- Create executive dashboards and reporting tools to monitor academic, operational, financial, and compliance outcomes.
- Analyze organizational performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
- Lead strategic planning initiatives and facilitate performance reviews with executive leadership and governing boards.
- Drive cross-functional improvement initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness and student outcomes.
- Design and implement instructional improvement strategies focused on student achievement, college and career readiness, and educational excellence.
- Support school leaders through coaching, professional development, and continuous improvement processes.
- Conduct instructional reviews, learning walks, and classroom observations to assess instructional quality and identify growth opportunities.
- Monitor curriculum implementation, instructional fidelity, and teacher effectiveness.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to establish and achieve school improvement goals.
- Lead organizational data strategy and promote data-informed decision-making at all levels.
- Develop systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting academic, behavioral, operational, and compliance data.
- Facilitate regular data review meetings and support leaders in translating insights into action plans.
- Ensure data integrity, accessibility, and alignment across multiple platforms and reporting systems.
- Build organizational data literacy through training and coaching initiatives.
- Provide strategic oversight for MTSS implementation and intervention effectiveness.
- Monitor intervention fidelity, progress monitoring processes, and student support systems.
- Facilitate accountability meetings focused on student outcomes and intervention planning.
- Collaborate with school leaders and support teams to strengthen implementation practices.
- Lead organization-wide continuous improvement initiatives utilizing proven improvement methodologies.
- Support leaders in developing measurable goals and action plans aligned with strategic priorities.
- Facilitate organizational learning processes, strategic reviews, and performance improvement cycles.
- Build leadership capacity through coaching, professional development, and accountability structures.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Lead strategic initiatives involving multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Establish project management systems that improve communication, transparency, and accountability.
- Monitor project milestones, implementation progress, and organizational impact.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership and governing bodies.
- Oversee organizational compliance monitoring and performance reporting requirements.
- Prepare reports and presentations for boards, funders, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- Support accreditation, renewal, audit, and accountability processes.
- Contribute to grant planning, implementation, and outcome measurement efforts.
- Represent the organization with external partners and community stakeholders as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, Data Analytics, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Professional educational leadership credentials consistent with state requirements.
- Minimum seven years of leadership experience in education, school improvement, organizational performance management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale improvement initiatives and organizational change efforts.
- Experience developing performance management systems, strategic plans, and accountability frameworks.
- Strong expertise in data analysis, performance reporting, and dashboard development.
- Experience presenting to executive leaders, boards, and external stakeholders.
