- Plans, supervises, reviews, and coordinates the activities of a team of professional child welfare staff engaged in monitoring department staff and private agencies that provide foster care, intact family services, and other contracted services within assigned regions.
- Serves as full line supervisor of subordinate supervisory staff.
- Provides input into the development and implementation of departmental programs, policies, and procedures within area of oversight.
- Establishes and implements a team‑based program of staff development and training for subordinate and private agency staff.
- Explains and enforces agency policies and procedures, state and area statutes, and requirements.
- Represents the Department in various planning sessions with other public and private agencies.
- MSW or master’s degree in a related human services field.
- Three years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with an MSW OR four years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with a master’s degree in a related human services field.
- Ability to travel in the performance of duties.
- Knowledge of department policies and procedures, state and area statutes, and requirements.
