In the spirit of the ideals of its founders, the Board of Trustees of Roosevelt University invites nominations and applications for the University’s seventh President.

Responsibilities
  • Provide visionary leadership to advance the University’s mission of academic, creative, and service excellence and its commitment to social justice.
  • Collaborate closely with the Board, faculty, staff, students, and external partners to promote shared governance and student success.
  • Grow and diversify the University's revenue streams through strategic fundraising, partnership development, and enhanced financial stewardship.
  • Expand and optimize academic programs and student support services to meet the needs of a diverse student body.
  • Enhance the University’s visibility and reputation within the City of Chicago, the Village of Schaumburg, and nationally.
  • Advocate the University’s brand and mission as a public ambassador to the community and beyond.
Qualifications
  • Significant senior leadership experience at a complex higher education institution or organization.
  • Demonstrated values‑driven leadership, fiscal acumen, and managerial success.
  • Proven ability to engage diverse populations, build campus communities, and act as an effective fundraiser and public ambassador.
  • Integrity, transparency, accountability, emotional intelligence, and ethical judgment in all actions.
  • Terminal degree (Ph.D., J.D., Ed.D., or equivalent) required.
Compensation and Benefits

The expected base salary range for this position is $500,000–$700,000. The University offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance (PPO/HDHP/HMO, FSA/HSA options), paid and voluntary life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability insurance, long‑term care insurance, pet insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off (vacation days, sick leave, University‑recognized holidays, and winter break), and additional benefits such as Employee Assistance Programs, wellness resources, tuition remission/exchange, professional development opportunities, and commuter/parking benefits.

Relocation to Chicago will be covered.
