What We’re Looking For

The Senior Manager of Operational Excellence is responsible for leading initiatives to improve operational efficiency and enhance productivity within the organization. This role requires strategic thinking, a strong foundation in process improvement methodologies, process engineering, metrics management, data analysis, and the ability to manage and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. The Senior Manager will plan, staff, organize, direct, and control projects to achieve continuous improvement goals, while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operational Strategy Execution: Support the development and execution of the operational excellence strategy, aligning initiatives with organizational goals. Identify key process improvement areas and contribute to the implementation roadmap.

  • Process Optimization: Assess current operational processes to identify opportunities for enhancement. Utilize Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies to optimize workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and improve productivity. Establish plans to improve and/or develop processes.

  • Data Analytics: Lead plans to gather, process, and interpret data, and provide meaningful insights and recommendations to improve business operations.

  • Change Management: Implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of process improvements. Engage stakeholders, communicate effectively, and provide necessary training and support to ensure successful transitions.

  • Performance Management: Develop, track, and analyze performance operational metrics and KPIs to measure operational efficiency. Provide insights and data‑driven recommendations to support decision‑making processes. Orchestrate cross‑functionally the creation and implementation and of operational metrics reflecting process performance.

  • Cross‑functional

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with leaders and teams across departments to ensure alignment of operational excellence initiatives with departmental objectives. Promote teamwork and collaboration to achieve shared goals.

  • Team Leadership and Development: Manage and mentor a team of operational excellence professionals. Provide guidance, performance feedback, and development opportunities to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

  • Continuous Improvement Culture: Advocate for a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization. Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops to encourage employee engagement and a mindset focused on ongoing enhancement.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum Education:

    Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree is preferred

  • Minimum

    Work Experience:

    6+ years

  • Technical

    Skills:

    Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.

  • Management

    Experience:

    Proven ability to manage teams and drive change initiatives.

  • Analytical

    Skills:

    Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to utilize data and metrics for informed decision‑making.

  • Communication

    Skills:

    Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Continuous Improvement

    Certifications:

    LSS Black belt or Master Black belt certification required.

Incentive Compensation

In addition to base pay, Zebra offers this role the opportunity to earn a performance‑based annual cash incentive, at a target equal to 15% of base pay, in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
