Area Manager - Chicago Area

Full Time Chicago, IL, US

Salary Range: $65,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually

The Area Manager is responsible for providing first-class service to our current and future clients which includes operations, maintaining budgets, and possibly developing new business.

Essential Duties and

Responsibilities include:

  • Traveling and managing all aspects of your assigned area/territory.
  • Supervise and direct operation activities.
  • Establish and manage operational policies, objectives, and initiatives to ensure cost-effectiveness and mitigate risks.
  • Provide leadership to the managers and/or supervisors in your area.
  • Ability to think outside the box and respond quickly to issues to prevent escalation.
  • Maintain payroll records.
  • Create estimates and workload bids, if possible.
  • Ensure quality control expectations are met and exceed Midway standards.
  • Ability to discipline an employee, while following company policy guidelines.
  • Order and maintain control of your inventory and supplies.
  • Train or assist in training new and existing employees on proper cleaning, in your area/territory.

Requirements include:

Minimum of 2 years managing in the service (janitorial) industry.

  • Must have a working knowledge of MS Suite.
  • The assigned area could be an office building, warehouse, school, university, or other facility.
  • Have the ability to demonstrate expertise in the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Must have the ability to lead people and obtain results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask is a must.
