Overview

Job Responsibilities- Establish, implement and maintain all departmental policies and procedures to ensure cargo or ground operations are safe, efficient, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Direct and oversee cargo operations, flight/load manifest, weight & balance control, and provide oversight of ground handling services.
- Coordinate with Company personnel, customers, third-party service providers and applicable government agencies to ensure contract/regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct periodic audits on all Company cargo operations.
- Produce, revise, and distribute departmental training aids, directives, reports, forms, memos, and manuals; ensure training materials are up to date.
- Ensure all personnel involved in cargo operations and ground handling are properly trained.
- Evaluate training and performance records to design training that increases efficiency, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain the Hazardous Materials Training Program for applicable employees.
- Develop and implement policies for safe and efficient handling of ULDs.
- Lead by example to deliver consistently excellent service and maintain high safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with Company safety and security procedures to meet or exceed regulatory standards.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and conduct investigations on irregularities, accidents or complaints as required.
- Promote clear communication of policies and procedures across all levels of operations.
- Ensure training is completed and documented; build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
- Resolve issues and conflicts promptly; ensure efficient operation of inbound and outbound flights.
- Adopt professional conduct that promotes integrity, fairness, personal attitude and respect for others.
- Meet the station’s attendance policy and attendance requirements.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and laws, including interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
Safety, Security and ComplianceAll AGI team members have a duty to maintain health, safety, and security. Responsibilities include taking reasonable care for self and others, complying with legal requirements, reporting hazards, and following safety procedures and training.
Qualifications- Effective people management, planning and organizational skills; customer-focused with good judgment; able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
- Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:
Warehouse management experience preferred. - Ability to manage conflict and resolve issues.
- Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle stress in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to lift 50-70 lbs.
- Adhere to safety practices and programs.
- Associates degree or 3-5 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid US driver’s license. Successful completion of airport badge process and pre-employment drug screen is required.
- If work location is in the United States, authorization to work in the U.S. If in Canada, authorization to work in Canada.
AGI requires flexibility in schedules to meet operational demands, including potential flight delays or cancellations. Strict adherence to attendance policies is expected.
