The Project Manager is a key representative of Evans General Contractors, LLC. The Project Manager is responsible for leading Projects with the goal of exceeding our Client’s expectations and delivering quality facilities on schedule and at the most competitive prices. The Project Manager is expected to develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, as well as, subcontractors to support the growth of the company.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • In all duties and responsibilities, consistently demonstrate professionalism and integrity to build trust relationships with clients, partners, vendors, subcontractors and other project stakeholders with commitment to a successful project outcome.
  • Lead the project team in the development and management of project schedule
  • Drive tasks and manage stakeholders to meet critical schedule milestones including design, procurement, construction, startup, commissioning, punch listing, and closeout.
  • Work with project team to develop and manage project budget to meet contractual requirements and drive business profitability. Project manager is responsible for overall financial outcome of the project.
  • Lead procurement of all subcontracts and purchase orders coordinating and managing internal resources to meet schedule and cost goals.
  • Manage subcontractors, service providers, and vendors to meet project requirements, schedule milestones, and budget.
  • Manage and coordinate architects and engineers to provide a code compliant constructable design that meets needs to the Client as well as contractual obligations.
  • Administrator and Manage Owner Contract including providing information, notification, and updates to Owner and ensuring Evans is complying to the terms and conditions set forth.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain all necessary permits, licenses, and items required to comply with terms, conditions, and regulations.
  • Utilize experience to assess and mitigate risks to project including development of contingency plans.
  • Support Project Superintendent and Field Staff in the execution of Project by providing leadership and managing resources including coordinating services and materials required to complete project according to plans and schedule.
  • Provide consistent and clear communication with project stakeholders
  • Manage project closeout phase including Turnover Packages, Startup & Commissioning, AHJ Inspections and Punch listing to meet schedule milestones, performance parameters, and client expectations.
  • Report project status regularly to Senior Management on schedule, budget, safety, customer satisfaction including cash flows and financial projections.

Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Construction Sciences, or Construction Management, preferred
  • Self-motivated with the ability to provide leadership for projects from concept to closeout.
  • Passion for developing and mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong relationship with subcontractor market in North Carolina strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in Construction Management & Project Administration Software along with various software packages required to complete project (Navisworks, BIM
    360, MS Office, MS Projects, Plan Grid, Vista, ViewPoint, Revit, etc.)
  • Preferred 10 years of experience in Construction Project Management.
  • Experience in tenant upfits and renovations in Life Science Market Segment preferred
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Laboratories, Agri Tech, AgBio, Biotechnology, or Cell/Gene Therapy preferred.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, with a strong ability to influence decisions of team members, partners and customers.
