Hours:
Standard office hours are 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday, with regular non-traditional hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) required to support game schedules.
Status:
Full-Time, Exempt
Direct Reports:
Part-time game day staff (no full-time direct reports)
Compensation:
Budgeted annual salary $70,000, eligible for company annual bonus program.
The Manager, Development Operations mobilizes and leverages Chicago Black hawks Foundation (CBF) and Chicago Black hawks (CBH) assets across the organization to maximize the Foundation’s financial resources. The Manager serves as the primary project manager for implementing the fundraising strategy, operationalizing in‑arena programs, and planning and executing events and campaigns.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop and execute the annual plan for in‑arena programs including raffles, silent auction, and mystery pucks.
- Manage fundraising vendor relationships for raffles, silent auction, and online donations.
- Manage all part‑time staff (50/50 sellers), including recruitment with Human Resources, training, and game‑night responsibilities.
- Serve as lead project manager for the Foundation’s fundraising events.
- Coordinate internal cross‑departmental working groups and vendor relationships.
- Execute key components of fundraising events during planning and development.
- Develop and execute corporate campaigns benefit ting the Foundation in collaboration across the organization.
- Support the Executive Director in stewardship of donors across all fundraising programs and campaigns, tracking engagement and fulfillment.
- Assist the Executive Director in developing and implementing the annual fundraising strategy, goals, and plan aligned with the Foundation’s strategy.
- Manage all fundraising data entry in the CRM and generate reports in collaboration with the Finance Department.
- Coordinate event/campaign briefs for the CBF and Marketing team.
- Execute fulfillment and communication across fundraising stakeholder audiences (tax acknowledgement letters, etc.).
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- 5–7 years of project management experience; preferred experience in fundraising stewardship or sports foundation/charity philanthropy.
- Experience with fundraising data systems and data visualization tools.
- Strong organizational skills to manage people and resources across complex projects.
- Ability to set and manage long‑term and short‑term goals and deliver outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, including executive-level constituents.
- Ability to foster a positive team culture and collaborate across teams.
- Strong personal motivation and encouragement of others, with persistence in overcoming obstacles.
