Moody Bible Institute is seeking a Facilities and Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance and operation of critical campus infrastructure, helping create safe, reliable, and efficient environments that support education, ministry, and student life while advancing our mission of equipping people to impact the world for Christ.

The Opportunity Reporting to the Senior Director of Facilities, the Facilities and Engineering Manager provides leadership and oversight for the Engineering Services team and is responsible for the reliable operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of campus building systems and infrastructure. This role leads a team of skilled engineering and maintenance professionals while overseeing preventive and predictive maintenance programs, building automation systems, HVAC equipment, power plant operations, electrical systems, elevators, plumbing systems, and food service equipment.

Top Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and relevant professional experience. Minimum of five (5) years of experience operating and maintaining commercial or institutional building systems and mechanical equipment. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory or team leadership experience. At least two (2) years of hands-on experience working with refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.

Working knowledge of: HVAC systems and controls Building automation systems (BAS) Fire alarm systems Electrical systems Elevator operations Mechanical and building maintenance practices Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Proficiency with computers and maintenance management software systems. Possession of applicable licenses or certifications, including Universal EPA Refrigeration Certification and other trade-related certifications as required. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Ten (10) or more years of building engineering and facilities maintenance experience, including team leadership. Industry certifications relevant to building engineering, facilities operations, or maintenance management. Experience managing large institutional, higher education, healthcare, or commercial facilities. Knowledge of energy management and building efficiency best practices.

Work Environment

Candidates must demonstrate alignment with Moody Bible Institute's mission, doctrinal beliefs, and Christian values. Employees are required to affirm Moody's Statement of Faith and adhere to Community Standards. This position is based on Moody's campus and involves both office and field work. The Facility and Engineering Manager will regularly work in mechanical rooms, utility spaces, rooftops, crawl spaces, shafts, and other operational environments throughout campus.
