About VIATechnikVIATechnik is on a mission to lead the built environment in creating a better future, today. We are one team of over 500 digital experts around the globe. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed architects, engineers, tradespersons, researchers, and business leaders. Together, we empower clients through high-quality, high-velocity experiences that consistently improve outcomes across the design, construction, and operations of buildings and infrastructure.
Our clients include Amazon, Mars Wrigley, and National Geographic, the firms shaping the world's most ambitious projects.
VIATechnik is at an inflection point. The US delivery organization, built on teams that span VDC, BIM and digital twins is scaling significantly. The Vice President, Delivery Operations exists to make that growth work.
Employee Value PropositionPurpose - VIATechnik is doing genuinely interesting work, translating digital technology into real outcomes on some of the most complex projects in the built environment. This role puts you at the center of that mission.
Growth - This is an executive seat with a direct line to the COO and regular exposure to the full leadership team. You will operate across teams in the US organization, building a breadth of operational and leadership experience. The firm's growth trajectory means the scope of this role grows with it.
Motivators - VIATechnik is entrepreneurial in the best sense: decisions get made, smart people are trusted to own their domains, and there is real appetite for building things better. If you are motivated by the challenge of making a high-performing organization more scalable without losing what makes it good, this is a rare opportunity to do that work at an organization where it matters.
MajorObjectives Objective 1 -
Within the first three months, complete a structured assessment of various US team's operational health, including team structure, delivery consistency, organizational consistency, and capacity planning, and present findings and a prioritized improvement roadmap to the COO.
Objective 2 -By the end of year one, enhance VIATechnik's metrics framework, co-developed with direct reports, that tracks delivery quality, team health, and client satisfaction, with targets set and reviewed on a quarterly cadence.
Objective 3 -Within 18 months, establish a manager development program, including a regular coaching cadence, a shared leadership playbook, and documented evidence of measurable growth.
Objective 4 -Within the first year, partner with Business Development and Growth Directors to strengthen relationships with their operating partners and define a resource planning model that maps delivery capacity to pipeline with forward visibility, reducing reactive staffing by a measurable margin.
Objective 5 -Within the first year, work with key stakeholders and lead at least two cross-functional operational improvement initiatives, each resulting in a documented process change adopted across studios, with measurable impact on delivery consistency or efficiency.
Culture and Situation FitVIATechnik is a firm where expertise is respected, opinions are shared directly, and people are trusted to own their domains. The culture is collaborative but moves fast, and the expectation is that leaders bring both a point of view and the ability to execute on it. Direct reports are strong practitioners who have earned their positions through technical depth and client delivery.
The person who thrives in this role leads those leaders with a light touch, earns trust through consistency and competence, and knows when to push and when to listen.
This role is not a fit for someone who needs a fully built system to operate within. The frameworks this person will use are largely ones they will build themselves. It is also not a fit for someone who leads primarily through authority or hierarchy. VIATechnik's culture rewards influence earned through credibility, not title. If you are most comfortable in a role with clear precedent and stable scope, this will be a difficult environment.
If you are energized by the challenge of building structure without losing speed, you will find a lot to work with here.
VIATechnik needs a leader who can hold the operational center of a scaling delivery organization while developing the people and systems that make scale possible. In return, this person gets an executive seat with real authority, access to genuinely interesting work across some of the most complex projects in the built environment, and the opportunity to shape an organization. The expectation is high performance and a long runway.
The offer is a role that grows with you.
