Facilities Manager - JLL
What this job involves - The Facilities Manager will be the single point of contact responsible for facilities management, assisting the Regional Program Manager and the Facility Management team with the delivery of quality facility management services through a team of Facilities Supervisor's and Operating Engineers. This role will coordinate and manage service delivery to ensure key stakeholder satisfaction at a portfolio of public schools located in the City of Chicago.
What your day-to-day will look like:
* Support Regional Program Manager in implementing facility management services and serve as primary relationship manager for Principals, Network Chiefs, and CPS facilities management team
* Collaborate with CPS facilities department to manage budget, funding priorities, and coordinate with Chief Engineers on maintenance, repairs, and facility operations delivery
* Develop and implement innovative programs, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity
* Manage performance against established SLAs, KPIs, and metrics while conducting and reporting on QMS special inspections
* Use data-driven decision making to ensure high-quality facility management services and resolve issues effectively
* Oversee facilities support team and ensure quality delivery of services including third-party service contracts
* Ensure all equipment, work orders, and facility conditions are documented in CMMS and monitored through facility assessment program and QMS
* Provide support, development, and management of facilities staff while serving as key escalation point for client site leadership and occupants
* Oversee development and implementation of annual management plans and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual client reporting
* Deliver professional development and training for assigned support team and perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Facilities Management with management emphasis
* 5+ years industry experience required either in the K-12, higher education, corporate environment, or as a third-party service provider or consultant
* Knowledge of facility management services, real estate, accounting and building systems
* Experience managing multiple sites, technical and administrative staff, and key client stakeholders
* Excellent customer, computer, managerial, oral and written communication skills
* Experience using CMMS, Microsoft Office applications, and building systems
* Ability to multi-task and effectively organize responsibilities to achieve assigned facility goals and objectives
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
* Prior experience working in K-12 educational facilities or with public sector clients
* Knowledge of Chicago building codes, CPS facility standards, and Illinois education facility regulations

Chicago, IL (North Chicago traveling across zip codes 60625, 60641, 60639 and surrounding areas)

Estimated compensation for this position:
90,000. USD per year
This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
