** Job Summary
** The Assistant Director, Information Systems provides operational leadership and subject matter expertise for Epic Revenue Cycle Professional Billing (PB) applications and related analytics and reporting solutions in support of the University of Chicago Physicians Group (UCPG). This role serves as a bridge between senior technical staff and departmental leadership, supporting strategic initiatives while maintaining direct involvement in system configuration, workflow design, analytics, and issue resolution.

This position leads cross functional teams in the development of new and existing systems. Solves complex problems and anticipates evolving business requirements to identify, design, and implement appropriate process improvements, systems alternatives, and/or enhancements to current systems.
The Assistant Director leads complex projects, mentors senior analysts, helps define application standards and best practices, and ensures reliable system performance, data integrity, and alignment with operational and business needs. This position partners closely with clinical, revenue cycle, and IT leadership to drive optimization, scalability, and continuous improvement of professional billing systems and processes.
