Available Shift
  • 4:30 pm – 1:00 am (Mon‑Friday)
  • Plus overtime as needed
Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices.

The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $22.25 per hour. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short‑term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use computer‑controlled sheet metal processing machines to produce high‑quality parts by reading and interpreting complex blueprints.
  • Operate simple material handling equipment and overhead cranes to handle sheet‑metal stock ranging from 30 lb. to 150 lb.
  • Inspect parts using various measurement tools.
Requirements
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to use or learn how to use measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial calipers, protractors and tape measures.
  • Ability to learn machine controls and programs.
Required
  • High School diploma / GED
Preferred
  • 1 year of machinist and manufacturing experience.
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Experience with set‑up and operation of computer‑controlled punching, cutting, forming machines, or press brakes.
Major Physical Demands
  • Standing: most tasks performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
  • Lifting: frequent lifting of items ranging from 5 lb. to 50 lb.
  • Walking: occasional walking over moderate distances.
  • Carrying: frequent carrying of items ranging from 5 lb. to 25 lb.
  • Pushing/Pulling: occasional use of electric hand truck to move parts a moderate distance.
  • Bending and crouching: frequent bending and crouching required.
  • Reaching: continuous full range of motion from above the shoulders to below the knees.
  • Handling: continuous handling of parts ranging from 5 lb. to 50 lb., along with a variety of hand‑tools.
