• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
• Overtime as needed

The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $20.00. This role is eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Material Handler – Basic is responsible for transporting materials from supply stores to drop-off locations using a standup tugger, sit-down and stand-up forklift. Trigger cards and internal applications notify the Material Handler when additional stock is needed. This position includes forklift training to advance to the intermediate level.

• Use a Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) to deliver materials to dedicated drop-off locations within the manufacturing facility (Stand-Up Forklift, Sit-Down Forklift, Stand-Up Tugger). Maintain safety and environmental policy adherence and recertifications/trainings related to PIV licenses.
• Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
• Utilize Oracle ERP to receive purchase orders, check information, determine part quantities, locations, and receiving history.
• Meet department targets and consistently adhere to quality and safety standards.
• Determine accurate order quantities with attention to detail for packaging MRP orders.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., scales and calipers).

• Supermarket:
  Complete cycle counts, item tagging and proper pull locations; keep inventory transactions accurate.
• Kitting/BIN:
  Ensure material transactions, count accuracy, and location accuracy; deliver items to the appropriate assembly area.
• Receiving:
  Use scanners to receive purchase orders, transfer material, and transact orders; unload vans/trucks safely; support shipping activities including loading/unloading trailers and packing trucks; identify finished goods on trucks with scanners.

• 1-3 years of experience in material handling or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
• 1-2 years operating powered industrial vehicles to move and deliver material with zero incidents.
• 1-2 years experience loading and unloading trucks.
• High school diploma/GED.
• Experience with computer equipment (tablets, scanners) for inventory transactions.
• Proficient iPad, scanning and computer skills with the ability to review and respond to internal applications.
• Basic math skills for calculating quantities and weights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with team members across production support departments.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently to fulfill material requests.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment, including physically moving raw materials.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and fulfill requests from team members inside and outside of the department.
• Forklift license/certification.
• Experience handling Hazardous goods.

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles.
