Role Overview

The Senior Production Planning Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing production data, optimizing planning processes, and ensuring efficient resource allocation to meet production demands. This role requires a strong background in data analysis, supply chain operations, and forecasting techniques.

Chicago applicants :
Hybrid role based out of the Chicago office.
Monday - Wednesday onsite required.

MS or GA applicants :
This position is based at an active mine site and requires daily onsite presence. Work conditions may include uneven terrain, climbing ladders, navigating steps, and exposure to varying weather conditions such as heat, rain, or mud.
Monday - Friday onsite required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret production and supply chain data to improve planning and scheduling efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to support production planning decisions.
  • Work closely with production, procurement, and inventory teams to ensure alignment of supply and demand.
  • Identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within production planning processes.
  • Support capacity planning by analyzing historical data and forecasting future demand.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across production planning systems.
  • Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on data-driven analysis.
  • Collaborate with IT and systems teams to enhance data collection and reporting tools.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Skills & Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • In addition, 2+ years of experience in data analysis, or supply chain analytics
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Strong understanding of production processes, inventory management, and demand planning.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • 5+ years of experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
  • Experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Competitive pay($76k - $109k) + annual bonus (15%, up to 200%)
