Overview

The Tool and Die Millwright will operate machine tools and use tool and dies to build fixtures and repair machines.
Competitive wages based on experience. Additional Paid Relief Days, $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS, this position is eligible for other incentives.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Operates manual lathes, mills, drills and fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes.
  • Understands and works with precision tolerances where required.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
  • Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.
  • Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.
  • Inspects machinery for any needed repairs; performs repairs within expertise.
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety of work area.
  • Complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to operate various types of manual machine tools to perform machining.
  • Ability to read blueprints and plans.
  • Ability to safely and accurately operate all measuring and production equipment.
  • Working understanding of geometry, trigonometry, and algebra.
  • Excellent mechanical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
  • Must be capable of lifting and handling 50 lbs
  • Prolonged periods of standing and bending required
  • Will be exposed to seasonal temperature changes
  • Manufacturing environment with heat, noise, dust, and vibration
Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Vocational/technical school training and apprenticeship required.
  • Welding skills a plus.
  • Eligible upon hire:
    Company paid safety shoes and prescription safety glasses.
  • Eligible after 30 days: medical/prescription drug coverage, dental, vision insurances, company provided Basic Life and AD&D insurance, additional voluntary benefits including hospital indemnity, accident and critical illness insurance, paid holidays.
  • Eligible at 60 days (520 working hours):
    Participation in the production incentive pay program (potential to add $1-$2 per hour to base pay, based on production).
