Second Shift - Assembler

Overview

Switchcraft® is a U.S. manufacturer of connectors, jacks, plugs, molded cable assemblies, patchbays, and switches. Our products are used in a wide variety of industries including medical, GPS, process control, transportation, homeland security, broadcast and pro audio.

Location: Chicago, IL (Jefferson Park)

Shift: Second Shift 3:30 pm - 12:00 am

Pay: $17.60/Hour

• Assembles frame assemblies using table top presses and hand tools to assemble small electronic components.
• Works with group leaders or supervisor instructions and can work independently in a team environment.
• Performs basic reading and math tasks as part of the job requirements.
• Assembles plugs to patch cords, switches and controls to cams; assembles resistors and capacitors to circuit boards; assembles PL switches; assembles level lite III switches; multi switches, DW switches.
• Inserts contactor and compression springs using fixtures.
• Inserts terminals into bottom, attaches clips to two sides, and snaps push button into top of switch housing for slide switches.
• Assembles and tests data switches.
• Assembles and puts terminal into uniswitches.
• Performs frame assemblies.

• Vision acuity required
• Strong gripping capabilities
• Gripping with both hands required; fixtures occasionally used to hold parts in place
• Must be able to remain in a stationary, generally seated position for over 50% of the time
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
