Bobak Sausage Company is seeking an experienced Sanitation Supervisor. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the sanitation team, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant production environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in sanitation management within food manufacturing, with the ability to lead, train, and motivate teams while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the sanitation team.
- Ensure all cleaning and sanitation tasks meet USDA, GMP, and HACCP standards.
- Develop and maintain sanitation schedules for all production areas and equipment.
- Conduct pre-operational inspections and verify proper cleaning and documentation.
- Maintain accurate sanitation records, chemical inventories, and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Train and coach team members on cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safety practices.
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Maintenance teams to identify and resolve sanitation concerns.
- Support audits and inspections by always ensuring sanitation readiness and compliance.
- Manage the Master Sanitation Schedule and generate work orders as needed.
- Monitor sanitation performance and verify effectiveness through ATP, allergen and microbiological testing.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Oversee chemical usage, concentration checks and safe storage.
- Ensure all sanitation work complies with safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager
- High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - 3+ years of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment (supervisory experience strongly preferred).
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety compliance.
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced production facility.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking employees
