Industrial Electrician – 3rd Shift

We are looking for a skilled Industrial Electrician for a dedicated 3rd Shift position (10:30 PM – 6:30 AM) at a world‑class steel manufacturing facility in Chicago.

• Base Pay: $38.00 – $45.00 per hour
• 3rd Shift Premium: $6.00 per hour
• Quarterly Gainsharing Bonuses & Profit Sharing

• Annual Salary Range: $79,040 – $93,599.98 per year

• Diagnose and repair AC/DC overhead cranes, wound rotor DC motors, hydraulic sensors, and other industrial equipment.
• Maintain AC/DC drives, PLC I/O, and large machine tool actuators such as industrial lathes.
• Assist with safety and housekeeping activities and follow all policies and procedures.
• Work both independently and as part of the Machine Tool or Hot Works Maintenance teams.
• Walk, stand, bend, squat, work from heights, navigate uneven surfaces, and lift up to 50 lbs in a non‑climate‑controlled environment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with supervisors and production staff.
• Work any 8‑hour shift (3rd Shift) and overtime as required.

• Minimum 4 years of industrial electrical experience, preferably from an apprenticeship or schooling.
• Strong root‑cause analysis and logical problem‑solving skills.
• Self‑motivated, safety‑first mindset, drug‑free.
• Ability to communicate with supervision and work in teams.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a non‑climate‑controlled setting.
• Experience with AC/DC drives, PLCs, hydraulic systems, and large machine tools.
