Role Description

The Quality Control Technician is a full‑time, on‑site role based at our Chicago, IL facility. This role is responsible for monitoring product quality throughout the production process, including inspecting raw materials, in‑process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet company and regulatory standards. Daily tasks include performing routine tests, collecting and labeling samples, calibrating and operating basic laboratory equipment, and accurately documenting results.

The technician will help investigate non‑conformances, support root‑cause analysis, and verify corrective actions on the production floor. This role also collaborates closely with production and sanitation teams to uphold food safety guidelines, maintain a clean and organized work area, and follow all safety and compliance procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect raw materials, in‑process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
  • Perform routine tests, collect and label samples, and record results accurately.
  • Calibrate and operate basic laboratory equipment safely.
  • Investigate non‑conformances and support root‑cause analysis.
  • Verify corrective actions on the production floor.
  • Collaborate with production and sanitation teams to uphold food safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area.
  • Follow all safety and compliance procedures consistently.
Qualifications
  • Strong Quality Control & Quality Assurance skills to monitor processes and ensure products meet internal and regulatory standards.
  • Solid analytical skills to interpret test results, identify trends, and support problem‑solving in a production environment.
  • Practical laboratory skills and familiarity with laboratory equipment for sample testing, documentation, and equipment care.
  • Knowledge of food safety principles, HACCP, and GMPs; prior experience in food manufacturing or meat processing is preferred.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures, maintain accurate records, and communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams.
  • Comfort working in a refrigerated production environment, with the ability to stand for extended periods and handle moderate lifting as needed.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
