Job Description:
Sets up and operates a large variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, CNC mills & CNC lathes to machine metallic and non-metallic work pieces.
Job Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
* Sets up fixtures in both manual and CNC machines.
* Operates both manual and CNC machines.
* Ability to use all types of machining measuring equipment such as but not limited to: micrometers, depth micrometers, calipers, height gauges.
* Completes paperwork to maintain records, fills out inspection reports, and department standards.
* Reads moderately difficult blueprints or job orders for product specification such as dimensions and tolerance.
* Reads tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds depth of cut.
* Secures tooling in tool holder (chuck, collet, and tool post).
* Positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures.
* Loads proper CNC programs into the control.
* Responsible for achieving the desired quality level on parts manufactured personally and by lower level machinists and operators, with the highest degree of labor efficiency possible.
Non-essential
Job Functions:
* Checks machinery lubricant levels and maintenance documentation for ISO 9000.

Qualification Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Extended periods of standing. Good vision for inspecting work and preparing programs/drawings on computer. 2-8 years of experience in machine operation, basic computer skills, and some CNC experience required.
Working Environment:
Clean, well-lit, air-conditioned area. Must be very safety oriented in the use of all machinery.
