2nd SHIFT PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - FREEZER BAR DEPARTMENT

The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will supervise employees to maximize safety, quality, and productivity. Key responsibilities include daily production scheduling, lot control, inventory accuracy, reporting, sanitation, housekeeping, and adherence to standard operating procedures. The supervisor ensures correct preparation of powder (order, weight‑outs, etc.) and has shared responsibility for new methods such as 5S, standardized work, methods improvements, and computerized weigh‑out systems.

Shift

Hours:

2:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday – Saturday, with overtime as required.

Responsibilities
  • Perform line inspections, department safety audits, and safety meetings.
  • Conduct quality audits, maintain a clean environment, and verify HACCP critical control points.
  • Control lots, ensure inventory accuracy, and prepare reporting.
  • Develop and operate within standard operating procedures.
  • Drive cost and production efficiency, maintenance, and strategic production planning.
  • Maintain sanitation and housekeeping standards.
  • Address employee relations issues.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in the food or beverage manufacturing industry.
  • A college degree is preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate employees.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Lead by example, professionally, morally, and ethically.
  • Highly organized, methodical, disciplined, and detail‑oriented.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Experience with GMP and safety regulations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and internet usage.
  • Bi‑lingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
Benefits and Salary

Jel Sert Company is committed to pay transparency. The starting compensation for the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor is $29.37 per hour, with an additional $0.50 per hour shift differential for all time worked on 2nd shift. Compensation is determined by experience, education, skills, training, and internal equity. Full‑time employees are eligible for a comprehensive benefits program.

Manufacturing environment with exposure to allergen products. The work involves activities inside and outside the facility, requires standing near moving mechanical parts, vehicles, and high‑heat conditions.
