Forklift Operator

Location: Hood Container – Chicago

Pay: $19.45 – $21.00/hour (based on experience), plus shift differential

Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.)

Employment Type: Full-time | Hourly | On-site

• Ensure inventory accuracy by verifying materials entering and leaving the warehouse.
• Keep the warehouse and dock area clean, organized, and safe.
• Work closely with Shipping & Receiving on incoming and outgoing materials.
• Partner with Production Planning to ensure materials are available for upcoming orders.
• Pull and prepare jobs for the next shift’s production run.
• Quickly fulfill material replenishment requests to avoid production delays.
• Handle and load scrap materials efficiently.
• Operate and maintain a forklift safely to prevent damage to products, equipment, and personnel.
• Inspect propane cylinders to ensure they are stored properly and filled as required.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Experience:
  
  At least 3 years of warehousing and inventory control experience.
• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED required.
• Skills:
  
  Basic computer proficiency, strong math skills, and attention to detail.
