3rd Shift Sanitation Tech

Santa Monica Seafood was the first and still the only seafood company in the United States to achieve FSSC 22000 certification for food safety management systems, ISO 14001 certification for environmental management programs and BAP certification of its main processing facility.

As a Sanitation Tech, you are responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety throughout the facility. This includes cleaning equipment, production areas, and work surfaces to ensure a safe, sanitary, and efficient environment that meets regulatory and company standards.

• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of production equipment, tools, and work spaces.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals according to guidelines.
• Properly dispose of waste and follow recycling procedures.
• Follow written and verbal instructions; work cooperatively with others.
• Adhere to food safety, quality, and employee safety protocols.
• Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to supervisors.

• 4PM-1:30AM
• Monday-Friday (Possibility of rotating Sundays)

• Must be able to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
• Work involves bending, reaching, and repetitive motion.

• Minimum of 1 year of sanitation, janitorial, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Proficient understanding of cleaning procedures and safe chemical handling.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP principles.
• Ability to safely use pressure washers, floor scrubbers, foggers, and other sanitation tools.
