Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineer
Position Location
Chicago, Illinois, United States. Hybrid remote/in‑office role supporting our Buffalo Grove, IL branch, serving customers throughout the greater Chicago area.
The successful candidate will lead a team of electrical engineers, providing work direction, mentorship, and electrical engineering development work.
Responsibilities- Lead and mentor team members in all aspects of the electrical product development processes.
- Complete the product development process from concepts to final production release in our on‑site factory.
- Align resources against varied tasks; new product development, customer support, procurement support, factory support.
- Provide day‑to‑day work direction and technical support as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of electrical hardware development experience.
- 2+ years of people‑management experience.
- Familiarity with commercial HVAC control components; controllers, actuators, sensors.
- Proven track record of managing development teams.
- Ability to use personal computers and software tools, working knowledge of PCB development tool sets, business software, PLM and ERP toolsets.
- 5% travel may be required.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
- BSEE.
- Working knowledge of Siemens Xpedition PCB development tool set.
- Working knowledge of Siemens Team Center, SAP and IBM Jazz.
- Experience in EMC testing, prototype build and test, and other hands‑on environments.
The pay range for this position is $92,320 – $158,263 annually with a target incentive of 8% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
