Position Summary
As an Industrial Sewing Machine Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of industrial sewing machines used in manufacturing operations. Your role involves diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues, conducting routine maintenance, and optimizing machine performance to meet production needs and quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs of industrial sewing machines.
- Diagnose mechanical issues with sewing machines and troubleshoot problems.
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify defects and recommend solutions.
- Calibrate machines and adjust settings to meet production requirements and quality standards.
- Keep records of maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Abides OSHA and FSC rules and regulations for safety.
- Wear typical protection gear in an environment that contains dust, odors, and noise.
- Works well under pressure.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Required to stand for long periods of time and walk frequently.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move objects of 50 pounds or more.
- Must be able to cover other shifts/overtime as necessary.
- Must be able to bend and squat frequently.
- Must be able to stand for 8 hours or more daily.
- Proven experience as a sewing machine technician.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience and/or training;
Or combination of education and experience. - Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in reading technical manuals and diagrams.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with others.
Pay Rate: $16.60 - $20.00 per hour
