Position: Senior Warehouse Associate - Wire Cutting (1st Shift)

Job Description

We are hiring immediately for an experienced warehouse worker as a Senior Warehouse Associate at our distribution facility. Your experience and knowledge of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, wire cutting, and light assembly shows how it impacts others. We are Wesco. Shift

Day, Afternoon & Evening Shifts Are Available. Start times for 1st Shift vary by department and range from 4:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

Transportation

This location is conveniently located near major bus routes, making it easily accessible by public transportation. Please check routes and schedules to ensure shift compatibility.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Warehouse Associate you will be performing specialized wire cutting applications and other value added services within the warehouse such as subsequent manufacturing and assembling ready to install products. You will be responsible for operating a cutting machine to cut, prepare and ship specialized wire, cable and related materials to our customers’ orders.

  • Operate wire cutting machinery to prepare specialized wire cuts for shipment
  • Calculate wire cutting length based on desired completion footage
  • Visually inspect wire for imperfections and part number accuracy
  • Maintain the wire aisle/wall in an orderly manner, follow housekeeping duties and safety requirements
  • Load, unload and move material in a safe manner manually or by using a forklift or other approved device

Education & Experience
  • High school degree or equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of warehouse operations experience preferred
  • Reach truck experience preferred
Skills & Requirements
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Basic problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

    Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
  • Willingness to operate warehouse equipment, including power equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical, construction or mechanical products preferred
Compensation

$21.04 - $25.26 Per Hour

This amount is what we reasonably believe we will pay for the position; however, offer amounts may vary based on factors such as geographic location, relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, shift, or any collective bargaining agreements.

For eligible positions, compensation may include participation in a bonus or sales incentive plan, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plan documents. For certain sales roles, Wesco also offers a commission structure that provides additional compensation based on sales results, as defined by the applicable commission plan.
