Spray Dry Operator responsible for spray drying in a production manufacturing facility. Spray Dry Operators add raw materials and follow the formula requirements to complete production orders using equipment such as mixers, spray dryers and blending tanks. They must follow standard batch instructions to accurately weigh dyes, chemicals, and other substances into the equipment. They must check for consistency in various batches and measure the viscosity of the mixtures.

Required to take samples of the batch and turn them over to a laboratory for testing. They must follow food safety guidelines and accurate documentation of work completed.

• Follow standard batching instructions to add raw materials and weigh dyes, chemicals, and other substances into processing equipment.
• Operate spray dryer, liquid reactors, mixers, and blending tanks, ensuring accurate control of temperatures, flow rates, and mix consistency.
• Transfer materials, set up equipment, utilize piping and parts efficiently, and lift heavy drums and bags while wearing appropriate PPE.
• Check batch consistency and viscosity, sample mixes, and pass samples to the laboratory for testing.
• Monitor equipment conditions, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and maintain detailed documentation of all work completed.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines, sanitary CIP procedures, and record‑keeping requirements.
• Maintain a safe work environment in a fast‑paced setting, completing assigned duties without errors.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
• Strong reading comprehension and ability to follow written instructions, multitask, troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
• Knowledge of safe chemical operations and handling.
• Understanding of equipment operation and pressure constraints.
• Familiarity with flow measuring units.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• May be required to wear a respirator, to pass fit and pulmonary tests.

Starting Salary: $20.00/HR (more with experience). Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm.
