Operations Superintendent

  • Foster an employee engagement culture conducive to maximizing employee morale and productivity.
  • Establish and monitor overall Plant performance for production and quality standards.
  • Incorporate shop floor organization and safety among all Associates.
  • Enact contingency plans as needed; escalates and directs activities during systems problems, disasters, etc.
  • Identify potential problems, troubleshoot and escalation issues to management, and participate in the analysis of problems providing input for future process improvements.
  • Coach Shift Supervisors to attain maximum levels of production utilization and efficiency.

This full‑time, salaried role is a part of our Operations team and reports to the Operations Manager. The Operations Superintendent will oversee the activities of Shift Supervisors to achieve optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity, and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction. Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or some college/training and 5+ years of career progression toward operations management at a metal assembly manufacturer within the automotive industry.
  • Demonstrate Plant leadership skills that coach and empower Associates to achieve production goals.
  • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing safety requirements, production metrics including shift KPIs, lean manufacturing, CI initiatives, etc.
  • Proven ability to manage changing priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, collaborating with a multi‑disciplinary team to meet production goals while meeting customer deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP (e.g., QAD, SAP, etc.), UKG.
