$38/hr + $160 per diem
Job DescriptionThis role involves operating a variety of CNC lathes to produce precision components that meet detailed print specifications. You will read and interpret blueprints and CAD/CAM programs, set up and maintain CNC machines, and ensure all parts meet quality standards through careful inspection and documentation.

- Read and interpret blueprints and CAD/CAM programs to determine machining requirements.
- Select, install, and set tooling and offsets for each job, ensuring proper machine setup from start to finish.
- Perform first-article inspections to verify that initial parts meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Monitor run conditions and make necessary adjustments to maintain consistent quality and productivity.
- Edit programs at the machine using G and M codes to optimize performance and address production issues.
- Conduct regular quality checks on parts during production and adjust processes as needed.
- Document production data accurately, including measurements, counts, and any deviations or adjustments.
- Maintain machines in good working order by following standard cleaning and basic maintenance practices.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Proven ability to fully set up CNC lathes from start to finish based on blueprints and/or CAM programs.
- Strong experience operating CNC lathe machines in a production or job shop environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Hands‑on experience with Fanuc controls for CNC lathes.
- Ability to edit programs at the machine using G and M codes.
- Skill in selecting and setting tooling and offsets for CNC lathe operations.
- Experience performing first‑article inspections and in‑process quality checks.
- Capability to perform quality checks on parts and make necessary adjustments to maintain tolerance.
- Comfort using CAD/CAM‑generated programs at the machine.
- Working knowledge of general machining practices, including lathe and mill operations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with both lathe and mill machining operations.
- Familiarity with programming adjustments directly at the machine.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality parts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision once jobs are set up.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and support project‑based work.
You will contribute directly to machining parts that support significant data center growth, giving your work a clear purpose and impact. The role offers project‑based assignments that provide a stable workload through the end of the year, creating a predictable schedule and consistent opportunities to apply and develop your machining skills.
Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a typical machine shop environment with CNC lathes and related equipment. The role operates on second shift (2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday) or third shift (10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Monday through Friday). You will work around running machinery, cutting fluids, and standard shop noise, following appropriate safety practices and wearing suitable shop attire and protective equipment as required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr.
