Assembly Laborer
The assembly laborer reports to a supervisor and is responsible for assembling components according to product specifications. Salary grade/level/family/range is hourly. Essential functions include preparing work, positioning parts, assembling components, resolving assembly problems, maintaining equipment, managing supplies inventory, communicating with supervisors, maintaining a safe working environment, and contributing to team efforts. Competencies include maintaining personal conduct, flexibility, accuracy, physical stamina, proactiveness, positive viewpoint, teamwork, and consistent communication.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities upon hiring, but potential direct reports are a possibility. Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, lifting over 50 pounds, and specific vision abilities. Working conditions can be hot or cold, loud, and busy. This is a full-time position with expected work hours of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with weekend and overnight work necessary.
No travel is expected. Required education is a high school diploma or GED, up to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, ability to use hand tools, focus on details, read and follow procedures, and clear communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) plus work authorization/security clearance is required. Pay rate is $18.00 - $19.00 per hour.
