Machine Operator
Fotofab is a mid-sized manufacturer located on Chicago's Northwest Side. We're in our fifth decade of manufacturing high precision metal parts through photochemical machining. Fotofab currently serves industries, such as, defense/aerospace, electronics, communications, medical and automotive. Fotofab is ISO 9001 certified. We are looking for a machine operator who is a skilled worker to be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our machinery in our manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth production by following safety guidelines, performing routine inspections, and adjusting machine settings to maintain quality output while adhering to production instructions.
Your work often requires technical knowledge and the ability to identify and troubleshoot machine issues.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up, operating, and maintaining production process lines.
- Ensuring consistent high-quality output by monitoring machine functions.
- Making adjustments as needed per work instructions and performing basic maintenance checks to maintain production efficiency and adhere to safety standards.
- Loading and unloading metal sheets.
- Inspecting processed products.
- Troubleshooting minor machine issues.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience related to the position.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Familiar with industry quality standards and processes.

Physical Requirements:
- Work will be performed primarily in a manufacturing environment.
- Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes.
- May require extended periods of standing or sitting.
- Ability to lift up to (50 pounds).
- Pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting may be required.
