AboutThe Role
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the movement, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods within the food processing plant. This role ensures timely and efficient delivery of products while maintaining compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements. This position may need to work non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, and holidays) to successfully meet customers’ needs.

AboutThe Role
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the movement, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods within the food processing plant. This role ensures timely and efficient delivery of products while maintaining compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements. This position may need to work non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, and holidays) to successfully meet customers’ needs.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
- Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished goods; coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock.
- Develop and maintain production and delivery schedules to meet customer demands and minimize downtime.
- Arrange inbound and outbound shipments, negotiate with carriers, and ensure cost‑effective and timely delivery.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and company policies during storage and transportation.
- Prepare shipping documents, bills of lading, and maintain accurate records in ERP systems.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and customers to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships.
- Address logistical challenges such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns promptly and effectively.
- Identify opportunities to optimize logistics processes and reduce costs without compromising quality.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in inventory management systems (SAP) and Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Basic understanding of supply chain and warehouse operations.
- Ability to speak and communicate in English
- Ability to speak and communicate in Spanish is preferred.
- Ability to work in a plant environment with exposure to temperature variations.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, logistics, or related field preferred.
