Hours:
  • 6:00 AM-2:30 PM (Monday - Friday)
  • Overtime may be required based on business needs
Compensation

At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices.
The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is $20.00.This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.

Join Our Team as a Material Handler!

The Material Handler – Transporting material from inventory locations to production lines / shipping making the necessary transactions using ERP systems (Oracle). Maintaining inventory accuracy and organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete S&C Forklift certification program, including any required testing and certification hours need to pass the program.
  • Manage inventory transaction using ERP systems (Oracle).
  • Support inventory activities such as cycle counting and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Work with cross functional teams such as planning, offsite warehouses, and production leadership to ensure on time parts delivery and inventory accuracy.
  • Proactively identify process gaps and recommend improvements to strengthen inventory control / accuracy.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and Oracle, investigate root causes while recommending corrective actions.
  • Support receiving procedures and manage material storage and flow between inventory and production lines.
  • Utilize Oracle ERP to determine part quantities, locations, and receiving history.
  • Review job orders and part drawings to accurately determine which parts and materials are needed for specific jobs and areas.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
What you’ll Need To Succeed:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of demonstrated experience in a material handling or related role within a manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years of driving a forklift, (standup preferred), with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to operate an electric forklift for indoor and outdoor use.
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to determine accurate order quantities consistently.
  • Ability to work independently and meet requirements of assigned materials requests.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate information efficiently and effectively to team members in a variety of production support departments.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to review and respond to requests via internal applications.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to calculate quantities and weights.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to understand and complete requests given by team member inside and outside of the department.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments such as scales and calipers.
  • Ability and willingness to follow Health Safety & Environment procedures accurately, reporting concerns promptly to the safety action team.
  • Proficient in using MS Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Preferred:
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement manufacturing principles
