Traveling CNC Lathe Machinist – High OT + $160 Daily Per Diem

Per Diem: $160/day

Hours:

50+ hours/week (plenty of overtime available)

We are seeking a Traveling CNC Machinist to join our team in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. This is a great opportunity for experienced machinists looking to maximize earnings with consistent overtime and a strong daily per diem.

If you're skilled in CNC lathe setup, enjoy hands-on problem solving, and want to work in a clean, organized shop environment—this role offers both stability and earning potential.

• Set up and operate CNC lathes with live tooling
• Select tooling, establish offsets, and load programs across various machines
• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements
• Operate Fanuc and Siemens controls
• Make program edits to improve quality and efficiency
• Run production parts and monitor machine performance
• Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
• Troubleshoot issues such as tool wear and dimensional discrepancies
• Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation

• Strong CNC lathe setup experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controls
• Solid understanding of machining processes and quality standards
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a production environment

• 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $38.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
