Maintenance Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team, responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of industrial food processing and packaging equipment. You will also handle some facilities support tasks, ensuring all equipment runs smoothly, including flow wrappers, baggers, cartoners, ovens, mixers, and pumps.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair industrial food processing and packaging equipment.
• Perform maintenance on facilities support equipment.
• Conduct repairs on flow wrappers, baggers, cartoners, ovens, mixers, and pumps.
• Handle 80% mechanical and 20% electrical tasks.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and be familiar with start-stop switches, VFD, and PLC.
• Replace wiring on the bakery side affected by washing and sanitation processes.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

Essential Skills

• Experience in industrial maintenance within food, cosmetics, pharma, or packaging industries.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits.
• Strong hydraulic and pneumatic experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bakery experience is a plus.
• Ability to draw start-stop switch diagrams is advantageous.

Work Environment

The facility is divided into Bakery and Packaging areas, with the Bakery side producing biscuits and the Packaging side co-packing various products. This role operates in a GMP environment requiring hair nets. Candidates must have their own tools and steel toe boots. The shifts available are 2nd (Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm) and 3rd (Monday-Friday, 10:00pm-6:30am, including most Sundays), with a typical 6-day work week.

A shift differential of $0.20 is provided for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $62504.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
