IDR is seeking a Critical Operations Engineer II to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Chicago, IL. This role is within the data center industry, focusing on electrical and mechanical infrastructure to ensure operational excellence. The position offers a dynamic environment with a focus on troubleshooting, safety, and collaborative teamwork.
Position Overview for the Critical Operations Engineer II:
- Responsible for maintaining and supporting electrical and mechanical systems in a critical data center environment.
- Collaborate across operations, engineering, and customer teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to power, cooling, and fire safety systems.
- Support fire protection systems, BMS, PLC controls, and telecommunications infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards such as NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and fire life safety requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply technical knowledge effectively
- Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable with a strong work ethic
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across operations, engineering, and customer teams
- Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-availability environment
$38-$40/hr
