K&S Tire Recycling is seeking an experienced, mechanically skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician / Equipment Operator to maintain and operate heavy-duty tire recycling equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain tire shredders, steel liberators, conveyors, screens and related equipment
- Diagnose mechanical failures and production problems
- Change/adjust shredder knives, screens and wear components
- Replace/maintain bearings, shafts, belts, chains, sprockets and rollers
- Inspect motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication
- Safely clear jams using proper LOTO procedures
- Operate Bobcat/skid steer to load and move material
- Identify abnormal heat, vibration, noise and wear before failures occur
- Industrial maintenance/mechanical experience
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Experience with bearings, conveyors and mechanical components
- Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout
- Ability to operate a Bobcat/skid steer
- Ability to use hand, power and pneumatic tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Welding/fabrication and electrical troubleshooting are preferred.
