Description:
Pay: $22-28 per hour Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines while maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and managing equipment and supplies.
Duties:
- Plans machining by reviewing work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, material specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, surface locations, and machining parameters, as well as interpreting GD&T.
- Programs mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, conditional switches, and indicating vices.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample work pieces, ensuring compliance with international standards.
- Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations, taking measurements, troubleshooting malfunctions, adjusting processes, reprogramming controls, and replacing worn tools while adhering to quality assurance procedures.
- Ensures safe operations by following safety procedures and regulations.
- Completes preventive maintenance to maintain equipment.
- Documents and communicates actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs to ensure continuity among shifts.
- Records actions in production and quality logs.
- Updates job knowledge by pursuing educational opportunities and solving technical problems.
- Contributes to organizational goals by taking ownership of new tasks and exploring ways to improve job outcomes.
