Work set up: Hybrid. Resource must be locally based in Chicago with the ability to work remotely and travel to the office on rare occasions as needed.

Our client in the global professional services industry is looking for a Marketing and Communications People Engagement Business Partner to develop and deliver innovative internal and executive communications strategies that inform, inspire, engage, and entertain employees while creating a stronger sense of connection and belonging. This role focuses on bringing communication strategies and storytelling narratives to life across relevant internal channels, translating complex information into simple, actionable communications for senior audiences, and ensuring consistent engagement across a global, matrixed environment.

What you will do:
  • Collaborate with People Engagement Leads to develop and implement communication strategies, storytelling narratives, and compelling content across internal channels.
  • Work closely with writers and creative teams to produce content aligned with communication strategy objectives.
  • Lead the execution of internal and executive communication strategies.
  • Manage content and engagement across internal communication platforms including Microsoft Viva Engage, MS Teams, Word Press, and SharePoint.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications and use data to continuously improve outcomes.
  • Translate complex information from meetings, decks, and conversations into simple, clear, and actionable communications for senior audiences.
  • Manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
  • Interact appropriately with senior stakeholders during meetings, project development, and review processes.
  • Present content clearly and effectively through strong written, oral, and presentation communication.
  • Ensure communications initiatives are executed as planned within a global, matrixed environment.
  • Work flexibly to accommodate early and late meetings and project needs across time zones.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 5–10 years of internal communications experience.
  • Exceptional writing skills with the ability to simplify complex information for senior audiences.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities without becoming overwhelmed.
  • Experience developing integrated internal communications plans and executing them successfully.
  • Knowledge and hands‑on experience editing and publishing content on digital platforms including MS Teams, Microsoft Viva Engage, Word Press, and SharePoint.
  • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, primarily remotely with occasional office visits as needed.
  • Ability to work flexibly across time zones to support global communication needs.
  • Comfort interacting with senior stakeholders in professional settings.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining engagement and accountability.
