This is a cross-functional role, collaborating closely with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Alliances to ensure events align with our go-to-market strategy and business goals.

We are an AI-first company, and this role requires someone who enthusiastically uses AI tools daily to produce better work, faster.

As a highly visible individual contributor, you'll become a power user of Blackthorn’s event platform. You'll act as a subject-matter expert, evangelizing our capabilities publicly and providing hands-on feedback to our Product team.

What You'll Do
  • Build and run the calendar across third-party conferences and trade shows, hosted Blackthorn events, executive dinners, partner activations, and internal events all focused towards the goal of driving leads and generating pipeline.
  • Facilitate the selection of the right events for our ICP and goals, working with event partners to secure sponsor ships that maximize our presence and participation.
  • Define and uphold how Blackthorn shows up at every event, ensuring brand presence, booth experience, and attendee-facing materials are consistent and on-brand.
  • Maintain a single source of truth for upcoming events, status, and outcomes across the team.

Field & In-Person Event Execution

  • Lead end-to-end logistics for live events (hosted and sponsored) including venue sourcing, vendor management, booth experience, signage, swag, AV, catering, run-of-show, staffing, and travel.
  • Develop pre-event, during-event, and post-event plans that maximize attendee engagement and follow-up to drive new business, expansion, upsells, and renewals.
  • Brief and prepare Blackthorn staff attendees for each event.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Demand Generation to plan promotion, registration, and follow-up motion for every event.
  • Coordinate with Content on event messaging, speaker prep, and supporting assets.
  • Align with Sales, Customer Success, and Alliances on event selection, attendee strategy, and post-event follow-up.
  • Communicate event status, plans, and results to the marketing team and broader business stakeholders on a regular cadence.

Virtual Events & Webinars Execution

  • Support webinar and virtual event production.
  • Partner with Content and Demand on topic selection, speaker recruitment, promotion, run-of-show, and follow-up.
  • Act as stage manager/producer for each event to ensure smooth production for speakers and attendees.

Event Reporting

  • Manage event data in Salesforce, including campaigns, lists, and attribution.
  • Track and report on event performance including registrations, attendance, leads, MQLs, opportunities, and pipeline.
  • Deliver post-event reporting and recommendations to inform future investment.

Budget Management

  • Own the field marketing budget and track spend against plan across event types.
  • Make recommendations on event mix and investment levels based on ROI.
What We're Looking For
  • 2–4 years of B2B field marketing, event marketing, or integrated marketing experience, ideally in SaaS or tech.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute live and virtual events, and webinars end-to-end.
  • Experience partnering with demand generation, content, and sales on integrated event campaigns.
  • Strategic mindset:
You think beyond logistics to how events drive brand, pipeline, and customer outcomes.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent events.
