The Marketing Associate supports marketing efforts across The Second City's live entertainment, training, and corporate businesses by executing campaigns, supporting sales initiatives, managing digital content, and providing administrative and event support. This role works closely with sales, marketing, and operations teams to help drive awareness, generate leads, and ensure customer-facing content is accurate and engaging.

With increased investment in The Second City PLAY and The Second City Works, this role offers an opportunity to support high-impact marketing campaigns that drive audience growth, customer engagement, and revenue across two of the organization’s key strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects while supporting both strategic initiatives and day-to-day marketing operations.

Key Responsibilities Campaign Execution & Email Marketing
  • Build, schedule, and execute email marketing campaigns across multiple business lines.
  • Support audience segmentation, list management, and campaign deployment.
  • Track campaign performance and provide reporting on key marketing metrics.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of seasonal, promotional, and lead-generation campaigns.
  • Coordinate sales and marketing materials, presentations, and collateral.
  • Support lead distribution processes and CRM data management.
  • Assist with lead tracking, routing, and follow-up workflows.
  • Partner with sales teams to ensure accurate and timely campaign execution.
Content & Digital Management
  • Manage website updates, content publishing, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate content review and approval workflows across departments.
  • Maintain marketing assets, landing pages, and digital content libraries.
  • Ensure brand consistency across digital channels and customer touchpoints.
Administrative & Event Support
  • Provide administrative support for marketing and sales initiatives.
  • Assist with planning and execution of client events, conferences, trade shows, and promotional activities.
  • Coordinate project timelines, meeting schedules, and internal communications.
  • Support vendor coordination and marketing logistics as needed.
Qualifications
  • 3-4 years of experience in marketing, communications, sales support, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing, lead generation, and campaign analytics.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS), preferably Marketing Cloud, Hub Spot and/or Mailchimp.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and marketing technology platforms.
  • Experience supporting events, ticketing, or customer-facing programs preferred, but not required.
  • Interest and experience working in live entertainment, education, hospitality preferred, but not required.
