Role Overview

The Account Director will lead client relationships, ensuring the delivery of high-quality marketing solutions that align with client objectives. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of marketing trends — especially related to paid media.

This is a hands‑on role responsible for client management and project management within the agency (task management within Click Up, coordinating with team members, keeping deliverables organized). The ideal candidate is AI‑forward and comfortable working within AI‑powered tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans tailored to client needs
  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction
  • Responsible for budget and P&L management across all projects and clients to deliver against assigned agency targets
  • Identify opportunities for account growth and new business development across assigned book of business
  • Ensure client deliverables have measurable goals and business priorities in place and gain client agreement
  • Manage client communication on a day‑to‑day basis — prepare agendas, ensure clear understanding of performance data, insights, and opportunities before presenting to clients; follow meetings with notes and action items distributed to client and internal teams
  • Know your customer inside out and become the "customer champion" within the agency
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal teams to ensure effective communication and expectation management
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of SEO principles and paid media across:
    Paid Social (Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, Linked In), Paid Search, Google Shopping, and You Tube
  • Previous experience with Customer Experience initiatives — website testing/CRO, UX/UI journey enhancements, or email strategy — in conjunction with performance marketing tactics is preferred
  • Ensure processes are followed and any barriers are smoothly resolved
  • Work with urgency, respecting your client's and the agency's timelines
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in account management within a marketing or advertising agency
  • Proven track record of managing a book of business across performance marketing tactics
  • Proven track record of managing enterprise or VP+ level client relationships
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to build client relationships, demonstrate agency value, and communicate effectively tailored to client audiences
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics and reporting tools
