Position Summary
The Specialist, Retail Connections will work on some of the fastest growing beers in the industry. This position will support the creation, planning and execution of strategic multicultural retail campaigns for the Corona Brand Family – shaping how consumers see and interact with the brands at the point of purchase. The specialist will help drive collaboration and consistency across internal teams in the development of innovative retail programming and creative consumer promotions.
The successful candidate will be eager to learn with a desire to innovate and develop methods and tools to drive success.
- Bring the Corona Brand Family to life by assisting with the development and implementation of a year-round promotion calendar and integrated retail campaigns to maximize sales opportunities and consumer conversion at retail.
- Assist with creative development, implementation, and ongoing management of point‑of‑sale programming for the Corona Brand Family.
- Manage creative agency and vendor relationships to provide programs and tools that target retail trade for sales‑enhancing and consumer awareness programs.
- Assist in the annual strategic planning process to manage planning timelines and align internal marketing teams, consumer/shopper insights, sales, and agency efforts in the delivery of planning presentations and tools.
- Manage and direct the work of the fulfillment agency and vendors in support of the production of point‑of‑sale marketing materials.
- Communicate and evaluate the effectiveness of promotional marketing programs.
- Assist with the financial management of the team budget, including entry and management of purchase orders, invoice reconciliation, and support with monthly forecasting as needed.
- Maintain constant and concise communication with marketing and distributor stakeholders to ensure needs are met.
- Help recommend and implement comprehensive retail promotional plans for new product introductions and line extensions of existing products.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or communications (preferred).
- Creative, innovative, and enthusiastic self‑starter with ability to multi‑task, problem‑solve and anticipate project needs.
- 1‑3 years of prior agency or supplier‑side experience in the beverage or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry.
- Passion for bringing brands to life via sports, culture, trends, brand partnerships and the impact these areas have on brand building and growth.
- Ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams and external business partners.
- Strong organizational skills and willingness to learn brand strategy and its implementation across consumer touchpoints.
- Strong written and presentation communication skills for diverse audiences (marketing, sales leadership, partner agencies).
- Willingness to learn the alcoholic beverage industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Spanish language speaker strongly preferred.
- Based in Chicago.
